Advancing Nature-based Solutions Through Capacity Building
NETFUND, in collaboration with the International Labour Organization (ILO) and the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), is proud to host the inaugural training on Nature-based Solutions (NbS) under Kenya’s National Projects Coordination (NPC) mechanism. The training will take place from August 4-8, 2025, in Nanyuki, Laikipia County.
The five-day session is designed to empower implementing agencies with practical tools and skills to design and deliver high-impact NbS interventions initiatives that align ecological restoration with socio-economic development. Participants will explore models that strengthen community resilience, promote green livelihoods, and support Kenya’s climate and biodiversity targets.
In line with the African Development Bank’s (AfDB) Jobs Creation Marker, the training will contribute to building institutional capacity to deliver nature-positive, climate-smart development at scale.
As NETFUND works to institutionalize NbS capacity building across Kenya, this initiative represents a significant step toward embedding nature-driven thinking into public planning, development projects, and climate action frameworks.
Together, we are scaling solutions that work for people and the planet.
