The National Environment Trust Fund (NETFUND) invites Expressions of Interest (EOIs) from qualified Financial Intermediaries to partner in the establishment and management of a Revolving Fund under the Restoration and Sustainable Management of the Cherangany Forest Ecosystems for Climate Change Resilience and Improved Livelihoods Project, funded by the Government of Italy through the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS) and implemented in West Pokot and Elgeyo Marakwet Counties.
The Revolving Fund seeks to improve access to affordable finance for community- and nature-based enterprises, support sustainable forestry, agroforestry and eco-tourism value chains, and enhance climate resilience and ecosystem restoration. Selected intermediaries will manage and recover loans, appraise credit risk, maintain financial records, support beneficiaries especially women, youth and vulnerable groups and provide co-financing and technical assistance.
Eligible applicants must be legally registered and regulated in Kenya, demonstrate strong financial capacity, relevant development finance experience, sound governance and operational presence in the target areas.
