Over the years, the Fund has amassed critical expertise and experience in strategic resource mobilization, fundraising, donor engagement and project management. To pass over this knowledge and enable local institutions undertake competent resource mobilization initiatives, NETFUND has established quarterly capacity building programmes on Strategic Resources Mobilization, Writing Winning Proposals and Project Management to bring fundraising professionals up to speed with global trends and best practices.
NETFUND offers these trainings in collaboration/partnership with other reputable Intuitions. The trainings are delivered through physical workshops with a mix of theoretical, hands-on exercises as well live calls and led by experienced trainers from multi-lateral, international non-profits, and government organizations. It shall encompass appraising participants with knowledge on key aspects of resource mobilization, proposal development and experiential sharing and exercises specific to participant’s organization's needs. The four days trainings will include presentations by trainers, experience-sharing from participants, group exercises, and team building activities – in and out of the training room. They will also encompass keynote speaking sessions by development partners, private sector, Foundations and government (The National Treasury)
The training aims at imparting the required skills for Resources Mobilization through sharpening their acumen in both the theory and practice of resource mobilization. It provides an opportunity for the participants to comprehensively master the landscape of resources mobilization.
This is advanced level training on resources mobilization with a focus on projects design and development and writing winning proposals. Writing a Winning Proposal is the first step towards securing resources.
After trainees have been equipped with resources mobilization and proposal writing skills, it is essential to instill skills in managing funded projects. This training covers management of teams, finances, coordination of activities, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting, and observing timelines.
